Ray Burgess, President and CEO
Ray Burgess joined the Solar Power team as President and CEO in July 2009. He has over 30 years of leadership experience in the technology industry, spanning semiconductors, software and micro-mechanical systems. Prior experience includes TeraVicta Technologies, Tao Group, Freescale Semiconductor, Motorola and Texas Instruments.
Jeff Williams, CTO
Jeff Williams is the Founder of Solar Power Technologies Inc. and has been developing the technologies that underpin the company products since mid 2008. With over 25 years of design engineering experience in the mixed signal semiconductor space, Mr. Williams has been a prolific innovator with 28 patents granted. Prior experience includes PulseWaveRF Inc., Cypress Semiconductor, and Advanced Micro Devices. Mr. Williams has a BSEE and MSEE from Texas A&M University.
John Merritt, Vice President of Field Operations
John joined the Company in March of 2010, and has over 30 years of technical marketing, technology commercialization, and product launch experience. Prior to Solar Power Technologies, John spent several years as a business development consultant to Clean Tech companies. He co-founded Traq-Wireless and NetSolve and also worked at Dallas Semiconductor and Motorola. Mr. Merritt has a BS in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas.
Mark Ellsworth, Vice President of Sales
Mark Ellsworth has been involved in sales and sales management for over 25 years, mostly with numerous start-up technology companies in Austin. His previous local employers have included Smarter Security, Salient Systems, Darkhorse Systems and National Design. Mr. Ellsworth has a proven track record in market penetration and generating successful revenue growth with young companies. His degree is in Business Administration from Drury University.
Shari Joseph, CFO
Shari joined the Company in February of 2011, and has over 25 years of high-technology business and financial management experience. Prior experience includes consulting CFO to technology start-ups, CFO at Zilker Labs, Inc. (now Intersil), and executive financial position(s) at Motorola’s Semiconductor Sector (now Freescale). In addition, Shari held numerous interim CFO positions at technology startup companies through Bridgepoint Consulting. Ms. Joseph has a BBA in Accounting from The University of Texas.
